Orion Safari Experience
The Buffalo Kloof Orion Safari Experience is the ultimate all inclusive bush to beach safari experience.
We have created the opportunity for a select few to participate in deeply immersive wildlife and wilderness experiences. The experience is exclusive to the guest and their invited group of up to 8 family and friends, and bestows the guest party with sole occupancy of the lodges and use of the entire reserve. Safari activities and itineraries are tailored to the specific interests of the members of the group.
Hosted out of the elegant Rhino House and Spekboom Bush Camp or our two Beach Houses, depending on numbers and individual requirements, the guests are catered for by well-trained and friendly lodge and hospitality staff. The Orion Safari experience also allows the guest party to deeply explore and immerse themselves in the Indian Ocean just a 30 minute drive or 10 minute helicopter flight from Buffalo Kloof. Here, they will stay at the “Wells Beach house”.
Bush Experiences
Enjoy game viewing drives, guided walks, our rhino notching experience, ethical harvesting, community engagement, clay pigeon shooting and archery or historical talks about the Eastern Cape by Alan Weyer.
Coastal Experiences
Indulge in spa treatments, e-bike rides, horseback trails along the beach, boat cruises, canoeing, freshwater fishing and marine safaris to Bird Island to observe a diversity of marine life and indulge in some saltwater fishing.
Orion Safari Guests at Buffalo Kloof will have the opportunity to indulge in a variety of exciting experiences. On foot, in vehicles, or on the water, excursions into the field are led by Professional Guides who are on hand at all times. The guides are experienced and proficient in all aspects of wilderness activities and conservation management.
